WHO WE ARE



Tools 4R Schools is a grassroots nonprofit with a mission to provide resources to mid high and high school technical hands-on learning classes and programs for their rehabilitation, the recovery of closed classes and programs, and the starting of new classes and programs never before envisioned. In the future, we will be setting up a program that helps individuals on the path to becoming technical hands-on learning educators in our nation’s education system.



What We Do



Tools 4R Schools' purpose is to empower all students to learn in the most effective and beneficial methods for them while driving sustainable change in our nation's educations system. The organization will do this by affording each student access and the ability to participate in technical hands-on learning classes in our public schools.

Technical Hands-on Learning is the process of learning through authentic experiences in classrooms. Technical hands-on learning is also referred to as learning through action, learning by doing, and applied learning. These classes and programs include but are not limited to, industrial and vocational arts, automotive tech, agricultural technologies, career and technical education (shop classes), and home economics, family and consumer sciences (home ec) as well as others.

Each of the four Tools 4R Schools programs will afford students the capacity to learn and build the skills and abilities technical hands-on learning classes provide. The organization will do this by providing Public Schools, the resources needed to teach our children those skills and abilities, through the following programs:



ReTool



This program provides resources to rehabilitate, update, add to, and progress technical hands-on learning classes currently available in a public school



ReClaim



This program provides resources to recover or reinstate technical hands-on learning classes that have been shut down previously (in most cases due to difficult funding choices of school districts) in a school



ReAlize



This program provides resources to develop technical hands-on learning classes in schools that have never before had these programs



ReTrofit



This FUTURE program will create an avenue and information sharing for those desiring to become technical hands-on learning teachers. It is envisioned this program will aid returning veterans, displaced workers and tradespeople, and other legal US residents



Technical hands-on learning classes are such a valuable part of the education system but the classes are only available in some schools, as many have been shut down due to difficult funding choices through the years. The rural schools are most affected by low education funding and have limited resources to obtain hugely difficult to obtain grants (if available). Tools 4R Schools is changing these facts, flipping the script.
